What Is Prophetic Counselling?

Prophetic Counselling is like normal counselling but with the added extra of allowing God to speak into the issue. Some counselling can trap people in the past and as victims. Other forms can just put a psychological sticking plaster on the pain or just put more guilt on the head of the struggler. Prophetic Counselling is different as it sees the individual not as a "client" but as an individual, it sees them not as a "victim" but an "overcomer" in waiting. Prophetic Counselling is built on the love of God, and the promise of Isaiah 53 that by the Cross of Christ our wounds, including psychological, can be healed.
